Qualifications

I am Designer and UI/UX Developer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing from Utah State University and Masters in Business Information Systems with an emphasis in Database Administration.

I have experience in both front and back-end development, and I am proficient in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL/MySQL. I also have experience with several non-web-based languages, including R, Java, C, Python, and Ruby. Over the last year I have been using R to create web applications and real-time dashboards for a FORTUNE Global 500 company.

In addition to having the knowledge required to excel as a User Interface Developer, I am adaptable and learn quickly. For example, in my current position I was tasked with creating real-time dashboards using data from multiple databases. The goal was to provide IT help desk managers with easy-to-read, real-time data to help them manage case loads and ensure clients were getting their requests answered in a timely manner. I wasn’t familiar with the web development application or the programming language that was required to complete the project. However, I quickly learned both and was able to complete the project on time.

I am very dedicated to my work and take pride in producing the highest quality products within the required deadlines. I work well on my own or as part of a team and have extensive experience working with clients and coworkers to understand project requirements.
